Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is this a religion?
No. It is a cultural and spiritual practice rooted in Chinese Taoist tradition. It requires no religious belief, membership, conversion, or worship of any deity.
  1. Is this connected to a specific religion or organization?

The Xuanling Lineage is an independent spiritual lineage rooted in Chinese Taoist tradition and passed down for over a thousand years. It is not affiliated with any modern religious institution, membership organization, or governing body.
Pawhisperer is the official international platform of the Xuanling Lineage. Purchasing an artifact or ritual involves no membership, subscription, or ongoing obligation.

  1. Is this safe for animal companions?

Yes. All rituals are performed externally and are entirely non-invasive. Your animal companion does not need to attend the ceremony or undergo any physical procedure.
The artifacts should still be worn, displayed, and cared for according to the instructions provided for each product.

  1. Are results guaranteed?

No. We do not guarantee specific results. This is a spiritual and cultural practice, and each person’s experience is personal and may vary. Many guardians have found the experience meaningful, and some have described subtle positive changes over time.

  1. Does the artifact have supernatural powers?

Xuanling Spiritual Artifacts are consecrated through dedicated rituals rooted in the thousand-year tradition of the Xuanling Lineage.
They are created to carry blessing and protection, support the bond between guardian and companion, and provide spiritual meaning and comfort. We do not present them as objects with scientifically proven supernatural powers.
Within the Xuanling tradition, each artifact serves as a spiritual bridge through which intention, guardianship, and connection may continue.

  1. Where are you based, and who conducts the rituals?

The Xuanling Lineage is based in Beijing, China. Each dedicated ritual is personally conducted by the 56th-generation Grandmaster according to the Lineage’s traditional ceremonial practice.
The rituals are not delegated to outside practitioners. They are performed remotely on behalf of the guardian and animal companion, as physical presence at the altar is not required.

  1. How does the ritual work if I live overseas? What information is required?

Neither you nor your animal companion needs to be present at the altar.
To prepare your dedicated ritual, we ask for the information required for that specific artifact or rite, such as names, dates of birth, or the date of passing. A photograph is generally not required unless clearly stated.
The required fields are shown on each product page. All personal information is handled confidentially and used only for preparing and performing the ritual.

  1. How long does the process take?

In most cases, preparation and performance of the dedicated ritual take approximately 5 to 10 days.
Shipping usually takes an additional 10 to 15 days, depending on the destination, carrier, customs processing, and local delivery conditions.
We aim for your consecrated Xuanling Spiritual Artifact to arrive within approximately 25 days of payment, although international delivery delays may occasionally occur.
